Contributions to AWRMDuring the American Revolution, only 3% of the colonists actively fought in the field against the King. Perhaps 10% of the population actively supported the War for Independence. Throughout the war Gen. Washington often had to beg for money to keep his troops in the field and some Patriots bankrupted themselves supporting the effort. In addition, there were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the people were Tories who sided with the King (by wars end there were actually more Tories than Patriots) and the final third took no side.
Members have an opportunity to put that dedication to work through paid memberships. Contributing Members, in essence, own a piece of the board. They have a vested interest in seeing it thrive. It is through these contributions that we will absorb the costs incurred through the administration of the board. Your paid membership helps to defray the costs of upgrades, hosting, etc. Our success depends on you, the member.
Imagine what we could accomplish if everyone (or even a mere 3 percent) pitched in to help.
We have several different levels of commitment to fit every budget. We thank you in advance for your support. So, if you value what you read on AWRM, please help support our efforts. I challenge every regular reader to donate just 10 cents per day to support AWRM. (That’s less than the cost of a pack of cigarettes per month, or $36.50 per year.) Donations are purely voluntary. If you don't feel that you get 10 cents worth of useful information and inspiration from AWRM each day, then do nothing. However, I hope that at least 5% of readers will contribute. Your donations are gratefully accepted via cash, money orders, or checks.
